How long have you been in business?
Owner Matthew Carrier has been in the roofing industry for over 15 years now. Stone Mountain Roofing LLC was established in 2021.
Is a building permit required for my project, and if so, will you be pulling one?
Yes, a building permit is required when doing any roof replacement. Stone Mountain Roofing will apply for the building permit with your town’s building department.
Are you fully licensed and insured?
Of course! Your estimate will display MA CSL #117335 (Contractor Supervisor License), and MA HIC #206447 and CT HIC #.0668321 (Home Improvement Contractor registration), which you can verify with the state. We carry both Worker’s Compensation and General Liability insurance. Your town will require us to provide proof of current insurance and licensure to obtain a building permit.
Do you coordinate with other home improvement companies?
Yes! We often work with customers who will be installing Solar Panels on their new roofs. If you are working with a Solar company, please let us know so we can best coordinate with their timelines.
Do you offer warranties?
Yes! All CertainTeed shingles carry standard “SureStart” protection which fully covers your shingles for the first 10 years following installation, in the event of a manufacturing defect. Once the SureStart period ends, you are covered for shingles only and at a reduced rate as the roof ages.
Since Stone Mountain Roofing is a CertainTeed Credentialed ShingleMaster Applicator, we are now able to offer an extended warranty on CertainTeed roofing products we install! The SureStart PLUS 4-Star protection, takes CertainTeed’s traditional SureStart protection and extends coverage for up to 50 years. That means, in the event of a manufacturing defect, you are fully covered which includes materials, labor, tear-off and disposal expenses.
